What the?? This is the desert!!

OK, so every once in a while, snow comes along to the Antelope Valley in the Mojave Desert. But that is usually just a dusting.

This time was something we have not seen since February of 1989!

We got a full 8 inches of the stuff in the town of Mojave, 6 inches at Edwards AFB and a foot or more in the Palmdale foothills!

My chickens had fun walking around in it eating the stuff.

I know its rare now, but in the 60's my grandparents lived in Victorvile at Bear Valley & Locust & it snowed every yr. just like that .
