What this respiratory disease he has?

I had a bird past away today when I check his throat. He stated to feel lethargy few weeks ago I though he maybe cold. He did not have watery eyes or sneeze. He shown sign and symptoms like gape worm infection. After he past away I take a picture of his throat. Please any advise would be appreciate it! Thank you so much.

To me, it looks like he never swallowed his food. When a bird dies, their nerves cause them to flappy all over the place. He could have had a full crop when he died and the nerves caused some of his food to come back up.

Due to me never dealing with gapeworm (as far as I know, that is) I'm going to tag some people who should be more experienced. @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive @casportpony
 
I think the airway should be dissected in half to see what is blocking it. That just looks like a complete blockage of something, which may have caused him to choke to death. It could be pus or exudate combined with feed or scratch. That might be from a respiratory infection. Gapeworms are Y-shaped and red, and may be in clumps. So sorry for your loss.
