What to do in Maine

I'm coming down this April to pick up an order of chicks and we're going to get there a day early. What can I do around Houlton or Bangor? Any good outlet stores, sights to see, or anything else to see/do? Thanks.

Head over to Eastport and go whale watching, have chowder, take the ferry to the island and see the presidential camp, get some mustard at Ray's, on and on and on.....

Go see Stephen King's house.

I stopped and asked where it was when we got coffee.

I don't remember the street but it's a pink stucco with a metal fence around it.

Anyone in town can help you find it.


Drive to Acadia National Park.

Eat lobster, go hiking, repeat.

That's what we did last summer in Maine, except being summer we also added "eat blueberries".
