It looks like one of my girls may have broken her toe somehow (see pic) and I'm trying to figure out what to do next...I've read that we can set it and splint it, but I have no idea how to do the first part and am terrified of hurting her. My husband thinks it may be dislocated and not broken? She's still moving around and using it just fine, but I'm worried it may cause long-term issues. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! Especially on whether/how to set it or if it should just be splinted.

That could just be a crooked toe from birth, which is common. Does it seem to be bothering her, seem swollen, or have green bruising?
Nope! She's running around just fine and using it without any issue. There's no swelling or discoloration either. If it's something from birth does it just become more noticeable as they get bigger?

Yes, it sometimes is missed at first, but if you tape their toes in a normal position in the first few days while the cartilage is soft, you can sometimes straighten them. But at this late time, it is not possible to straighten them. She will do fine. Here is a link that shows how:

I just went back through old pics and it does look like she's had this for a while and, somehow, I just didn't notice until now. Thanks for the input!!
