What to expect?? 7 days left!!!

THis is my first time with a broody. She is on 7 eggs, we are on day 14. Now that it is hatching day is coming soon what do I expect? I have heard that sometimes broodies eggs hatch a day or so sooner.

So do I keep my broody and the chicks seperate? Right now she is in a dog crate, Im not sure that will be big enough. I do have a larger wire dog cage, not sure if the chicks will be able to get through it though. I use the deep litter method and Im afraid Im going to lose the chicks in all that litter!!!

Any advice for a newbie???

I would keep them seperate until you see what kind of a mom she is. I had one that was meaner than a rattlesnake that just got stepped on.
