What to expect now that my rooster is gone?

My rooster was taken by a coyote last night. I now have 10 hens (possibly one too) ranging in ages. I have 2 shamos who are the oldest and are 17-18 weeks old. I have 2 Barred rocks,(9-10 weeks)(one is possibly a rooster) 2 sapphire olive eggers(9-10 weeks), 3 RIR(5-6weeks) and 2 buff Orpington's(5-6 weeks) What should I expect in the following weeks from my flock now that their rooster is gone?

You do not have mature chickens and I'm not sure how old your cockerel was. In a mature flock the hens would probably miss him and maybe look for him for a day or so and one of the hens would take over as flock master, assuming many of the duties of a male flock master. If he was abusive the hens would probably relax instead of miss him but a hen would still take over as flock master.

With your immature ones I'd expect one of the older pullets to take over as flock master. That can change as the rest mature. I don't know how much they might miss him, yours are so young. But in any case, one of the others will take over as flock master. They will not miss him for long.

Oh no one died all my roosters and hens live together peacefully I was just wandering because another one of my young cockerels who is also 5 months old is doing it all I have two other roosters they are 2 and 1 years old

Oh gosh I’m so sorry I didn’t read fully and thought I was in a different thread 😢

I am sorry for your loss.

Now that the coyote knows where to get his dinner, I would expect it to come back every day to take another one or two of your flock if you do not lock them up securely in a covered run.
