What to feed chicks?

Ok, now that I have these guinea chicks, what do I feed them. From what everyone says they are about a month old and all they seem to do is forage for bugs. Should I feed them chick food or put them on a special diet?

Baby Guinea Fowl are called keets, and they should be fed a high protein game bird, turkey or pheasant starter crumble containing around 28% protein up until they are 6-8 weeks old. After that you can wean them over to a grower feed with at least 20% protein in as their main diet it up until they are 12 weeks old and after that they can eat a regular 16% protein layer feed used for chickens and other poultry. Feed them free choice, let them eat as much as they need to.

1 month old is too young to be out free ranging, they are easy predator snacks and cannot fend for themselves or keep themselves warm at night. They should be kept in a predator proof brooder/cage and usually need a heat source up until they are feathered out at around 6-8 weeks old (they may mainly just need a heat source at night). They also need a lot of room, they are very active.
