What to mix with alfalfa?

My birds hate alfalfa pellets. I soak them, they won't eat it.
Unfortunately I'm about out of mash until someone can get to town, and I just have this 50 lb bag of the stuff.

I know they'll eat it when they get hungry enough, but anyone have any ideas what I might add to make it more enticing and palatable?

Try a little wet oatmeal or cornmeal? Not the best for protein content, but might make them gobble down the soaked alfalfa.

They don't go for oatmeal either.
I wonder if maybe some MSG, or possibly a beer?
Some garlic and salt and pepper perhaps?
Some chicken soup stock possibly?

Maybe I'll make them a pizza and spread it on it.
