EE stands for Easter Egger. They are chicken that lays colored eggs, such as blue, green and brown. They are sold as Americanas/Araucanas/Ameraucanas at hatcheries, but they are really just mixes that carry the colored egg gene. Ameraucanas and Araucanas are two totally different breeds.

Yay for truth in advertising! Good for them! This is part of what they say on their Easter Egger page:

Other hatcheries (misleadingly) sell these as "Ameraucanas," "Americanas" or sometimes "Araucanas," however, only breeders can provide true Ameraucanas or Araucanas at this time.

It's about time. I think that Easter Eggers are wonderful for the backyard laying flock (one of my first chickens was a McMurray Easter Egger, and we loved her!) but people have a right to know that the breed they want is exactly what they are getting--and they have a right to know the difference between the breeds. The way My Pet Chicken is advertising these guys is correct and informative. I like that!
