What type of chicken is it?

Hello all! Since I reference this wonderful site daily, I thought I might join up! I am new to chickens and currently have my first flock of 9 chickens (4 BCM, 2 Orphingtons, and 3 mutts) and 8 guinea fowl! I love them all, and I haven't even an egg yet! My question is about one of mutts, Brownie. I purchased him/her a few months ago from a local farmer who said it was a laying hen. Today I noticed a small crown growing that I haven't seen before, so I guess Brownie is growing well, but what type of chicken is it? Notice the vivid blue ears. I know its impossible to sex chicken via photo, but what does it look like it may be? Thanks so much!!

It looks like a silky cross pullet.

disappointingly the photo won't enlarge. If she has blue ears she probably is a silky mix. What color is her skin, are her legs feathered? Looks silkie-ish - if so she is likely to be a very good broody hen for you.
