What type of chicks are these?

These were in a box. I brought them here and put them in a warm aquarium until I can get a good set up. Trying to learn what I can.

These look like the Production Reds that I got at TSC....that would be my guess, but I am new to this myself, so someone might know better.

Red Sex Links, Golden Sex Link, Golden Comet, Production Reds. They're all the same.

A cheap way to house chicks is a round plastic kids swimming pool with a heat lamp..just make sure that heat lamp is very securely attached to something sturdy and is hanging above the chicks..not touching anything. Use pine chips as bedding with a newspaper liner underneath. It will be better than a fish tank which has a tendency to keep moisture in and can cause health issues in the chicks. If you want to feed your chicks anything else besides the Chick Starter crumbles, make sure you give them a dish of small chick size grit to help them digest. They don't need grit if they are just on the Chick Starter and you don't feed them treats though. Make sure they have fresh water too.

You could also try a large plastic storage bin with the lid off with newspaper liner and pine chips. Don't use cedar chips as they will make your chicks sick. : ) They look like Red Sex Links. The 2 red/gold pullets in my avatar pic are Red Sex Links. Yours will probably look similar.
