Hope someone can help me. I was given these two hens, have had them since May and the one on the left has not laid an egg since it has been here. Maybe too old now? any ideas. The one on the right was laying eggs one a day until about 3 weeks ago and stopped. hoping that is due to molting. we haven't changed anything- no stressors.

Can anyone tell me what type of hens these are? Maybe mixed breeds?
If you have any ideas on why the lack of eggs that would be great too. I am new at this.
thank you

thanks for the info. Does the EE look old to you? The people that gave me these hens said they got a lot of eggs from them but since I haven't gotten any from the one that looks like an EE I am wondering what the problem could be. Hoping they snap out of it and start to produce. Very disappointing when you only have 2 hens and now getting no eggs.

thanks

I believe the hen on the left is an EE, and the other is a red sex link.

I agree. It's difficult to tell from looking at the pic (especially given the distance from the camera, the shadows, and the chicken wire in front) how old your EE is.

thanks for the info. Here is another pic of her about 2 ft away. she is very sweet and I know the people that gave her to me only had chickens for about a year so I am guessing she might be 2-3 years old. Seems healthy and eats just fine, just a big slacker when it comes to laying eggs.
My polish frizzle rooster is in the background with his polish sister. They are only about 4 months old.

I have some 1 month old chicks that I have no idea what they are or if they are pullets or not. I do know their father is a RIR but mom could be a polish or something else. Maybe I can post some pics here and all of you with such great experience can help me figure out what I have.

thanks so much
