My chickens love squash, tomatoes... BROCCOLLI!! CABBAGE!!... they take their time with the bell peppers though... Tomatoes are their fav.

ok then i guess it would be fine then. But the real question would it be healthy? That is what bothers me cause i care alot for my chicks and love every single one of them. I just wouldnt want one to pass away if they eat freezer burn.Have you fed your FReezer burnt food before?

Ok i guess i will only try. Cause i grew my own cabbage and one of them is HUGE. I think i will let it defrost and pell of the first couple layers so there won't be as much freezer burn. Thanks for your help!
Next spring i might as well make like 3 more garden beds full of lettuce cause that is their fav. Gosh.... .
what i would do for those chickens... lol

I know it is not a vege, but I call the flock for watermelon rhine and catalop rhine.

They come a running and all that is left is the skin when they are done.

They LOVE it when it is hot outside and I usually keep the rhines in the frig over night.

Their fav vege is cabbage. They are on full feed of scratch and layer.

They do free range and they make a an annoyance of themselves for bread.
