What was Your "mystery chick" ?

Im due to get my McMurray hatchery chicks in 3 days! They will be including one "rare" chick.Just curious, what did YOU get?

My rare was a black Crevecoeur.

But sadly it was one of the 4 that died due to shipping. I only had it a day. I have always wanted to order more, but have been scared that they are fragile chicks.

Although now that I think about it, I ended up with a Blue Andalusian roo, but I had ordered all pullets. So maybe that was my 'rare'. I had ordered Polish, so maybe the Crevecoeur was a substitute for a Polish or was a mix up.

I had ordered the rarest of the rare and process of elimnation of what was possible with that I got 2 extras cuckoo maran hen and roo

EE's are NOT exotic. Anyway, he turned out to be our main rooster now. Here's him at 5 months. He is now 7 months old, and has a very nice body and coloring. He's a good boy, but not an "exotic."

I just got my order this week.Strangely the mystery chick was one of the few survivors...13 dead He doesn't look very exotic yet..very white much lighter than my white rock and white leghorn chicks and dark legs no cheeks like an EE though..he's cute.See I say he because with the luck I have had with them I'm sure it's not a pullet
