What will happen if I put the chicks in the coop along with the hens?

I bought five red sex-link chicks last fall. Three have "gone through the ringer" with the neighbor's dog. Leaving me with two chickens, one is really calm and fallows me as i walk through the yard, while the other isn't mean, but is extremely submissive. They have been laying since January. My question is; if i were to get 3 more pullets, would my hens kill them, take care of them, or what? I have little experience with chickens as you can tell. Thank you!

If you put pullets in with grown hens odds are the hens will kill them. If you can, brood them either inside the house for about 6-8 weeks, until they are feathered and getting pretty close to the same size as the hens, or in a separate pen inside the coop under a light if that's possible. When you introduce them to the hens put them in a separate pen/cage for about a week, where the hens can see them but not get to them. Then release them during the day when you're home to keep an eye on them. There will be some chaos while they negotiate the pecking order, but it shouldn't be too bad. In a day or so they will blend in with the other hens quite will.
