Will the outcome be buff or are there some other genes in there somewhere?

You should hatch out all buff chicks. They will be unsilkied, carrying the silkie gene, and have soft feathers like a cochin. They'll have slight crests and beards (if your silkies are bearded). They will likely have 10 toes, dark skin, and walnut combs (if your silkies aren't het for single comb).
