Not sure of the parentage of each individual bird... but I have four silkies, two roosters, two hens. The roosters are blue and black and the hens are buff and white. Just hatchery quality hens, slightly better quality roosters. What would I get colorwise if I crossed each rooster over the white hen? What would I get if I crossed each rooster with the buff hen? I know that each pairing will need to be separate encounters space several weeks apart, but I'm just curious. I know it could be a grab bag of colors since I don't know the colors that produced each bird. And there could possibly be some lurking genetics that I'm not aware of. I'm relatively new to chicken genetics, but I do understand the blue gene. I'm just curious if anyone might be able to give me possible colors that these pairings might produce. Thanks in advance!!!
