what would kill 20 chickens and leave the bodies?

I went all out on hardware cloth when I built my 1st coop and run(scrap lumber) and never had a loss.I almost lost one free ranging this summer so they're locked up for the winter.I hope you will consider upgrading your setup so you never experience this heartache again.

I have no idea but I’m so sorry for your losses, I have no idea how sad you all were to lose all those chickens.
