1) one drake with 3-4 ducks, and then the other drake in a seperate pen (can’t see the girls) with another drake friend

2) each drake gets 2 ducks, but there would be no way to seperate if overmating

One Drake and two hens in two separate pens or one Drake and four hens and the other Drake is re-homed. We too will soon have this very same dilemma with to many Drakes to Hen ratio. Good luck and please keep us posted. :)

i can’t seperate them, do u think having just one drake with the hens would work? the other would be in a seperate pen with another drake

Sorry, not an expert on how ducks react to this type of situation. In my past experiences with other animals, better off with less males in the equation to help avoid any possible fighting to be the Alpha male to breed the herd. I am sure you will receive reply's from other more experienced member's who have dealt with this type of breeding duck behavior. Good luck.
