Ok so I have 19 maran eggs in the bator due to hatch on the 25th and 6 other eggs (jap bantams and salmon favs) due to hatch on the 27th. These are for my sons 4-H they where given to the group (the maran eggs where) and we agreed to hatch them for the group. I was told not to open the bator for a few days until everyone was done hatching and they will be ok in there until then so I don't compromise the unhatched eggs. so that puts us not opening the bator until the 28th at the very earliest. The delema is that there is a chicken show my son wants to participate in on the 26th-27th and my husband will be here to keep watch (after I educate him on watching the humidity levels) so I am torn whether or not to go to the show (which is 5 hours away) or stay home and watch over the eggs (which will drive me crazy to watch the chicks and not open the bator!) soooo...what would you do????
