What would you get when breeding a mottled with a....

I have male and female mottled cochin (bantams) and looking for another variety to add some variation to chicks, but not just a regular color. I was thinking either barred cochins or golden laced. Do you know what I could expect from these crosses?

Mottle won't show up until the 2nd generation as it is recessive. Cross the chicks back to the mottled parent and half should be mottled.

Will there be any calico look from gold laced birds or no? I'm not trying to be a scientist, not good at that, I just want to see what is produced

I think mottled in barring would be indistinct.

So if I breed a golden laced with a mottled, then breed the offspring back to the mottled I will get that?
