What would you price Hookbill Drake's at?

My kids will both be in school full time this year and I was recently offered a job that I am leaning towards taking. That being said I currently have 50+ birds between my ducks and chickens so I need to thin it down quite a bit if I take this job. I am debating about selling two of my Hookbill Drake's (both around 3 years old). The biggest issue with them is that they are great together, but they cannot be with other fully mature drakes. I really don't want to sell them, but they have to be in a separate Drake pen than the others and maintaining multiple drake pens is going to be too much when I am working full time. I can't go check local selling prices for Hookbills because there are not any around. What do you think a good price point would be if I do decide to sell?

Gosh that's a hard one, I wonder if you send an email to Dave Holderread asking?
That's a good idea I might try that and see if I get a response. I don't want to make them to pricey, but I also don't want to sell them too cheap and then next year on craigslist I see an add "Incredible Rare Hookbill Mixed Ducklings $50 a piece"🤣

Yeah, if you wanna avoid something like that you might want to contact others with hookbill flocks. Maybe contact whoever you got your hookbills from and see if they'd want to buy or trade him. I'm sure they'd welcome the genetic diversity. And I'm sure they'd be the ones who can answer your question best. I guess what matters most is that you trust the person you sell them to not to harm the breed.

The problem is that I had eggs shipped in several years ago from all over. The closest breeder I purchased from is currently 18 hours away from me. I contacted a couple breeders earlier this year and never heard anything back. I did look up online what information I could find from other Hookbill breeders and the prices I have seen are kind of everywhere. I may just have to figure out a way to make it work with keeping these two. However, I have spent a lot of time and money working on my breeding program. I absolutely love my ducks so if I do decide that I have to part with them these ducks will not go to just anyone.
