what ya' gonna do in self-isolation/lockdown ?

It looks like many of us are going to have some time on our hands at home. Let's share ideas about how to use whatever time we're unexpectedly gonna have! I think I'm gonna start by sorting out my CD collection and copying what I want to keep to mp3 format.

It depends on the weather, if it is crappy i'll stay in finally finish up the video game death stranding.
I will also knit my butt off most likely.
Nice weather though i'll spend preparing for spring flower planting while I hang out with my flock of hoodlums.

Lots to do here.

Getting ready for the garden, starting seeds and having the chickens run through the yard eating all the early bugs they can find.

I need to build a duck house for the new ducks. (Still hoping they ship on the 30th).

DIY magazine collection surely has garden bench plans, shelving plans or other things I have materials to make.

Then there is training the dogs to do tricks if I get REALLY bored.

What's this you say? Self-isolation? I've been doing that for years unprompted.
It's spring... I'll have plenty of projects outside. I need to get some quail pens built ASAP.

i would do everything that was mentioned above. i am pretty bad at math so i would probably practice equations and rules and numbers and other things i cant seem to make sense of. I would probably also make an epic treehouse so that even if the world comes to an end I can still sit in my tree and read every book in the house. I would also clean the chicken coop (it is a total mess) and hatch some chicks.

what is the point of quail @BantyChooks ? exquisite if teeny eggs, or tasty tiny carcass, or both? Or are they more pets than a food source?

I have two kids under 12 and one teenager, so I'll have plenty of things to keep me busy!
Probably play outside for many hours. The littles favorite thing is metal detecting on our farm so that's always time consuming. Tend to the animals, tidy the house, etc

I have Japanese quail and Chinese painted quail. The japs can be a good source of both eggs and meat, but I just like hatching them for their pretty colours. I do eat the extras, though. The CP quail are purely pets.
