I just got into goats and wanted to know, who else has goats?
We have two pygmies, a Nubian, and a boar.
Our first goat here is Rocky!

He is this big now!

Pictures are a MUST!!!

Do you have any details regarding your sick goat? Age? Diet? Temperature (get this, this is critical)? Symptoms? How long have there been symptoms? What have you already done to treat the goat?

I slept ed withe him last night and he start to cry and I rubbed his belly and he started pooping. He is 7 weeks. Coming off the bottle. He is nubian and he is coughing, high temp and just stands still. I think he over ate. After some cuddling last night he has gotten better. He runs now and crys when he doesn't see me. But he still has a temp and coughing.

How much did he eat? In his bottle? What else does he get? Grain? Hay? How much of those? Has anything recently changed very abruptly?

If he lives in the house, has he gotten into anything?

Dramatic weather changes can cause outbreaks of pneumonia. Because he has a temperature and cough, starting a treatment with antibiotics would be the safe route. Also, giving him banamine will bring down his temperature and help with any pain. Banamine is an Rx medication that comes from a vet, but it has so many uses, it is a fantastic pain medication for goats.

Get a weight on him before giving him anything. You need to know how much he weighs for an accurate dosage. If you have a human scale around the house, step on it to get your weight alone. Then hold him and step on it again. Subtract your weight alone from the weight of you two together.

I have the vet coming out to see him. Yeah sour barn is flooded because of the amount of rain were been getting.

Goats do not tolerate getting wet very well, and they are prone to pneumonia. It sounds like your kid has pneumonia.
