I recently added chicken wire to the top of my chain link fence to keep the birds from escaping. I then constructed a wooden roost, four feet high, to replace their favorite roosting spot. They don't seem interested in it.
Is four feet too high? Should I try to shorten it? Any advice? Thanks!
I would build it stair stepped with roosts a foot up and out each step. Four feet is a good hop for an adult bird. They can do it if they really want to but it can be hard on them getting down.
