What's a heat sink???

A wall thermostat probably woud work better..

I did notice swings myself, but tried not to panic too badly since they werent massive swings (below 98 or above 101)

It was definitly not a set it and forget it kind of deal for me..At the end there..The temps were swinging even more and I was using a shop light above my "window" to kind of help things stay where I thought they should be..

My roomate/best friend ended up buying me an LG still air for $41 yesterday cause he saw how much I wanted it to all work out..

I need to get a pic of my "water wiggler"..hehehe..
I couldnt find one in the store, so I made my own out of a balloon..It looks kind of like a yellow roast chicken..

Here it is..lol!!

Just wanted to say a heat sink doesn't normally lose/gain heat at the same rate as air does. It may be faster or slower depending on the type of material. An HVAC thermostat generally measures the temp of air, and a water heater thermostat measures the temp of water. Water doesn't change temp as quickly as air can, so that's probably why the water heater thermostat has a bigger range. If you put the thermostat on a heat sink, it's not really going off the temp on the heat sink, but the temp of the air next to the heat sink, which is slower to change than the temp of the air in the rest of the incubator. You won't get as quick of a swing in temps.

There is a Hotwater heater thermosat mod that makes it super sensitive and you will have less than a degree varience if not less. Short video On you tube type in
