Ive heard of and seen white-black-blue-splash-buff-lavendar but never a red one? does someone have a picture I can see? Thanks ever soo much!

Ginger red isn't quite the same as regular red, but it's pretty close--you can see the colour difference between his plumage and that of the buff hens he's with.

He's the only one of that colour I've ever hatched; I occasionally get regular reds, but don't generally keep them. I do have a couple of youngsters that are a regular red.
 
thats so neat...I totally learn something ( or I should 10 new things) everyday from this website!!
 
A red is a very complicated bird produced by mixing red-partridge silkies to buffs. I've been breeding and showing them for several years now. I have many pic posted on my website of them www.briassilkies.webs.com
