I currently have four Rhode Island Reds they actually are just starting to lay eggs. I have them on good layer feed, but curious how you all have your coops for winter? I'm still learning as I go. I've had chickens actually for three years now though. Nice to meet you all. I'm from Canada NB.

I add one extra bag of shavings to the coop and cover the run with reinforced polycarbonate tarps. That's enough to block the wind in the run.

I also close the windows around the roosting area in the coop. In the image above you can see the window on the left is completely closed. That has a roost behind it. The window on the right is cracked open. That window is in the maternity ward room. There is another window that is kept cracked open and two more large windows that are closed. There are also gable vents, a ridge vent and two pop doors that are left open year-round to prevent the build up of moist air that will cause frostbite in freezing temps if not removed.

I cover the openings in the coop with some spun polyester air filter material. Still get the air exchange, but it cuts the draft blowing in on the chickens. I cover the prevailing wind sides of the run in a similar fashion to @DobieLover.
