whats killing my chickens?

My daughter had entered a 4-h project. She started out with 18 hens. One night something had killed 2 of her hens. Leaving the body in the pens the only thing that was messed up were the legs were gone. The next night something had unlatched the door to the pen and either ate the other 5 or they vanished. No trace of feathers or blood any where. Few days after the 5 vanished. She (we) went out to find one other hen dead in the pen. No feathers or legs on the bird, just the bare bird. What could have killed these hens. So far what ever it is. Its not leaving any paw prints in the dirt below.

With the missing legs, the culprit is most likely a raccoon.

Also, coons are very good at unlatching doors.

Thanks my next investment will be trap. Cant afford to loose any more. She has to show 3 of her flock in the local fair and auction them off. Thanks again.
