I have a hen I took to the vet today and he said she had possible ( I know I am not going to spell this right but maybe you can understand) icciculitis a respiratory infection. he gave us antibiotics. She is breathing with her mouth open most of the time. I am wondering whats the easiest way to give her the meds? its so hard to hold their head and hold the beak open. my husband usually does that and I shoot the meds in. she is a gentle hen a little rowdy but trying to hold her head and keep her mouth open was exhausting. I felt so sorry for her we couldn't get it done. her breathing was so much worse after her struggeling with us. she has to have it so any suggestions? I just didn't know if it was ok for her to be exhausted like that being sick and all.
