Before I invest, I wonder how long these machines last? Do they need regular repair or maintenance (obviously cleaning between uses). How long have you had YOUR incubator? Any recommendations for an easy to use machine?

I bought a Little Giant to try before I made a large investment and I've had it two years so far and it hasn't given me any problems yet .Keeps a consisitant temperture and I've had a lot of hatchs out of it .Buy what you need ,and start with something that once you're done with you can resell .

Thanks, love your name by the way...I picture you sitting in front of your PC with your big furry hat on, chattering teeth and your breath filling the air in front of you!

I tend to start big...but now I'm thinking the LG is the way to go. Thanks again!

I have a Brower 846 incubator, and they were produced in 1970's-1980's

I just used it a little while ago, and got 18 chicks out of 21 eggs.
