What's the project you've been putting off? What was the last project you put off that you finally finished(ish)?

I was thinking about all the projects I have partially started that I try to make a dent in weekly (or not nearly as often.) often it's weather that gets in the way, but it's easy to get overwhelmed by the slog of projects you keep meaning to get to, start, work on, or finish.

What's your's?

Some projects that I have been putting off:

1. Building a hoop coop before new chickens get here.

2. Painting a vaulted ceiling (I did do some today though)

3. Culling and processing 4 ducks (they're so low maintenance that I've been putting it off but it does need to get done.)

Last project I finished that made me feel really good about myself:

Doing a 7 hour round trip to pick up some replacement Indio Gigante chicks (good thing because the single one I managed to hatch died a week later :(, and I managed to make the trip even more worthwhile by picking up the aforementioned ducks, and a whole slew of Muscovy duck eggs pre-incubated from someone who was done for the season and wanting to ditch her two incubator 's worth.

(This was especially fortuitous because I paid $42 on eBay for Muscovy and Pekin duck eggs and while the seller wrapped them well and included extras, I only got a single Pekin to hatch. I think from now on I am going to ask [and offer to pay for] what I've heard to referred to as the "Grandma loves you" wrapping where instead of "Live eggs," I'll risk any egg packages being wrapped like a birthday package with lots of "Grandma Loves you!!!" Messages on it, with the theory that people are willing to be more careful with that than with live egg packages.)

Otherwise, it's just daily projects that feel more like treading water than getting something off of my to-do list.

I finally installed the mini split that has been sitting on my garage for 8 years.

Now I'm finishing building the screened in room for which I built the roof 3 years ago.

Then I'll move on to finishing the guest bathroom I stopped working on 1.5 years ago.

It's way past this point. I've been ready to tile the shower since November 2023.

Oh yeah. I have a roofed patio I've been meaning to frame out for ages.

Nice time of year to tackle that AC. That cold air must have felt so much better considering how long that project was hanging over your head.

Not envious of your tiling project. That would be something I would balk at doing too.
