Whats the weirdest thing your chicken has ate?

Plucked my earing right out of my ear and ate it...waited for a week to see that she was ok! It was a small stud earing at that!!

Snakes and frogs. And I had a Buttercup running around the garden with a full size donut in her beak.

I have a hen right now that likes to wait till I'm bent down petting teh other hens and she comes up from the side and takes a bit of my hair and eats it. She is sooooo weird. But you can't help but love her.

Once a chicken took a screw that fell out of my hands as I was working on building a coop and ran with it under the grapevines. I sure HOPE she didn't eat it. But there is a possibility.

Also, there was a blue tarp in the run once and a chick ate some of it. And couldn't swallow the whole thing since it was still attached to the rest of the tarp. So we had to cut it off as I couldn't pull it back out of her mouth. I was worried I had hurt her trying to pull it out.

No one seemed to have any future problems from these incidents.

Those were terrifying moments, to say the least.

My husband had a sinus infection and cleared his throat one day and spit and a chicken came running and ate it. I actually gagged a few times. It's hard to even write about it without my throat tightening.
