3.are Rhode island reds
1. copper Maran
1 astrolorp
2 buff orphingtons ( the broodyiest chickens in the world )
1 light brahma

I'm not getting any eggs from my adult girls, and 1 egg from my pullets ugh why no eggs?

They free range, eat layer crumble, yogert , lots of veggies you name it. There just not laying. Any suggestions?

Didn't you just get a few new nest boxes? And their not using them? Gheese, O well
When they come off brood they may take a few weeks to start again. So those two may be a while yet. I know you know to hunt for hidden nests, that's out. Weather has it been overbearingly hot? Any stress, other than yours about them not laying? How about molt? Seeing a loss of feather? I sure ask a lot of questions when I answer a question don't I?

I've noticed that if I make any changes to their habitat they stop laying for a few days. If I keep making changes, they keep not laying. When I stop changing things around they start back up in a few days.

no molting, good and healthy girls, not to hot, there coop is amazing as it is triple insulated so it's amazingly cool inside, I keep them in the pen until around 2:00 before I let them out into the yard, no eggs out in the yard either. I wet the yard before letting them out, and they go under my hedges to dig in the cool dirt. I give them cold yogurt , fruits and such, just not sure why no eggs since everyone of my birds have red combs and waddles. Well except one girl and she is only 15 weeks old. The rest should be laying.

I have ot changed anything. I got new nesting boxes, they like them, go in and out of them, just do not lay in them. Oh the broodiness loved them to and refused to leave them lol. I broke them of being broody, but it's hard .

here are yesterdays pictures of my girls. one girl has different coloring on her side, but there is no feathers missing, not sure why it came out like that on the camera.

this is Buffy she is 24 weeks old ( I believe a rhode island red and a ameraucana ? )
Also does her comb get bigger? Seems its been this size forever.

it looks like there feathers are missing, but its just the camera,

light brahama is only 14 weeks.

I think this is one of those times, that a small flock has, when everyone goes on a break. Frustrating. Annoying. And to top it off if they do start soon then they'll go into molt and slow down or stop.

We got the prettiest sea foam /blue/ green egg and I'm thrilled. As you see above one of them gave this to me but who ? I got 4 pullets in the spring, 3 RIR and one black with orange around the neck. One of the RIR is mixed with Americana ( she has a muff face)
Do you think she laid the pretty egg ? There all coming into egg laying now, just waiting to see what the black chicken ( they say she is a copper maran ) lays.
