(Hes a black australorp X rhode island red btw)
Both parents (the mother was a black australorp, and the father was the rhode island) had straight rose combs but im not sure why there offspring came with a honey comb. Any answers?

That could probably be the case, thanks for showing a picture of all the chicken combsBoth Australorp and RIR have single combs (I believe) and there is no "honeycomb". Perhaps the parents were not purebred?
