Whats up with this?

Wondering if anybody can diagnose, give advice or help me in any way. The problem is the loss of feathers around the neck. The problem has gotten worse since the attached photo was taken. The feather loss is now completely around her neck, but doesnt seem to progress downward. It is approx. 1" long. There seems to be little or no irritation with it. Do I need to be concerned? This girl is the mother hen of the bunch (The mean one). Do I need to be worried? I have checked for mites etc .Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.....Tom

Some chicks just pull their own feathers out. They have pretty flexible necks and can reach almost everywhere. Watch and see if she is doing it. Usually caused by stress or change in environment.. Or she could be starting to molt..my americaunas head and neck molted when she was 4 months old..
