What's with that silly chicken?

So I have a very confident Australorp puller (roo potential) who very much like to use me as a perch but does not like to be cuddled as such.. I have a shy silkie who I'm getting used to being handled.

Today when I picked up the silkie for a cuddle the aussie got very disgruntled and was determined to peck the silkie in the face. All fine once I put her down again. What is with that? Do chickens get jealous?

Mine are like this too.

I think mine are just curious.. "why is SHE up there?!".. Mine will look at me, and then look at their sister, and look back at me.. pure confusion.

Your dominant bird was probably telling the Silkie, "You belong to ME and don't you forget it!"
