What's with this egg?

This is the fifth egg one of our hens has laid. What's the crusty stuff? It kinda looks like she laid a map of the world...

That's calcium deposits. If you rinse it off with warm water, they'll come right off. It's usually from an excess of calcium in their diets, but I have had hens who would lay eggs like that regardless.
