What's wrong with his toes and feet?

I posted this in the raising baby chicks forum cuz this boy is 5 weeks old, but since I haven't gotten any replies, decided maybe it's best to post here, so I'm copy/pasting.

For the past two weeks, I've noticed this guy's toes bloody a lot...not bleeding, just like dried blood. It reminds me of a human having "cracked and dry hands". I haven't ever seen any of the other chicks pecking at him, but then again I'm not staring at them 24/7. And none of the other 5 have this issue...their toes are smooth and wound free. I am not sure if this has any bearing on it, but he (previous name Brave Girl...till I realized she was a he, then it switched to Brave Boy) is the only one of the chicks that flies to the top edge of the brooder when I take the screen off. He's been doing it since he was 2 weeks old. Could it have something to do with that? Because he's roosting on the edge...which is cardboard, so it's thin...which means he has to curl his toes almost shut in order to hang on?

What can I do for him? I have cracked hands every winter, and it doesn't tickle! So I'm sure it's uncomfortable for Brave Boy!

If it's cracked, dry skin then you can treat it the same way you treat your own. Baby oil, vaseline, olive oil,....whatever! Good Luck and I hope he feels better!
