I've had these three chicks for two weeks. The woman I got them from is less than reliable (long story). She wasn't clear on how old they were when I got them or the breed. So any help is appreciated.

Thanks

there to young to tell
In a few weeks we might be able to tell more. Also bigger pictures if your able to for next time.

i made the pics bigger to make it easier to see.

yes they all have feathered legs. the two darker ones wing feathers seem to curl up instead of lay flat.

thanks,
kate

i got these from a woman in frankfort, indiana. i bought 8 originally. only 3 have survived. i ended up reporting her to animal control for the state of other animals on her farm. i know i probably should never have bought the chicks in the first place but what's done is done.

The one with the specs on the head looks like 2 of the EE I have at that age.
If that is what it is, it will be a great chicken. I love mine they are docile and sweet. Never feel bad about rescuing any animal.

Any breed can be frizzled. If various breeds were running together, they are most likely crosses, and until they are considerably older if will be difficult to make educated guesses about the background of a particular bird. The more you know about the breeds and varieties mixed together the more accurately you can guess the crosses, but it will not be a certainty.
