What's your every day carry knife?

I've got a small pile of knives I have purchased to engrave. Some are cheap and some are serious business.

I took my husband's every day carry away from him and engraved the scales and some of the screws and clips. He still carries it with him every day, but now he says it gives him a heart attack when he doesn't feel it in his pocket. I feel kind of bad, but if he wanted to replace this knife with something else he could've done it by now, so... I'm not sure how he feels about it.

What's your every day carry knife? Would you EDC a really nice knife custom engraved, or would you put that in a box? Would you EDC a cheap knife that's custom engraved? What if it had diamonds and/or gemstones like australian opals in it?

Engraved knife for attention. Any knife weirdos out there??

I have a couple different knives I use for EDC. From bottom to top; Ruger, Mossy Oak multitool, and a generic box cutter that I actually love because I don't have to mess around with sharpening. I don't pour a lot of money into knives but a custom engraved one would be quite cool and maybe someday that's something I'll splurge on.

I have a very nice knife that I carried for awhile, but since its main job was cutting open boxes or strapping, I stopped carrying it for that and just got a cheapy little folder.

One time a female coworker and I had to get a load of cardboard for our department. We got there, and it was all still strapped on pallets. She looked at the pallets and said, "Oh, I didn't think to bring a box cutter." I pulled out my (very nice) knife (with a 4" blade), and she stepped back, as if shocked another woman would have such a thing in her pocket! I saw her expression and thought, "Well, I also have a .357 revolver on my ankle..."

OP, that engraving is beautiful. Really stunning.

I have a crkt and a benchmade I’ve worn for a while each, but I bring a spyderco robin 2 most days. It’s very small and, even with a pen and a light, disappears into my pocket - always feels like the best choice.

Bonus it was only 30$
