How did you mount the air tires on the trailer jacks and how did you keep wheel u from bending or twisting with the air tire that is very creativeI
Ijust finished my chicken tractor about about a month ago.My wheel setup was one thing that
i did allot of research on.My coop weighs about 350lbs and I wanted it to be easy to move and sturdy. There are some good wheels that I've seen on other tractors, but nothing I really liked.I wanted the wheels to be at the balance point of the tractor so I wouldn't have to lift one end to move it.There are some tractors with a cantilever setup wheels at the balance point. After some though I came up with the idea for using trailer jacks with some wheel barrel wheels on them. The whole setup cost less than $100 and I couldn't be happier with this setup. It takes less than 2 minutes to lift the tractor up about 6 inches and it move easy. What ever wheel setup you decide to use I would recommend using as big and wide a wheel as you can.Wider wheels sink less in the ground and the bigger the wheel the easier it will roll.I don't have any wire on the bottom of my tractor. They are closed up in the coop at night and during the day I don't think any predators would try to get to them.
