One of my hens started sort of wheezing today. As far as I know, it just started. It kinda sounds like a squeaky chair and every now and then she’ll sneeze too, but the sneezes are sort of wet sounding. I have a video of the wheezing (but not the sneezing), however I can’t upload it in this post. Should I be worried about this?

Could it be something stuck in her throat? I believe you can feed a few drops of olive oil with a syringe and massage the throat but Ive never done it personally so I couldn’t tell you exactly how to do it.

Do the other hens appear to be ok? I might be a good idea to isolate her and keep a close eye on your flock. It could be a respiratory illness (eg infectious bronchitis) and I don’t think they usually get better without medication. Hopefully someone who has experience of this will comment.

The other hens seem ok, but you’re right, I should probably separate her just in case.
