when a hen goes broodie

Can I put any egg under her? Or will she reject eggs that don't look like her normal eggs?

You can put duck eggs, turkey eggs, or any color and size chicken egg. She won't care. She'll be happy with golf balls. Anything to mother.

THis thread gives me encouragment! lol when I get more eggs OUT of my hen (eggs that i actualy know about this time) I will have to get hatching eggs of a diffrent breed and Give her half.. and hatch half myself!

Thanks everyone, I'm planning on hatching a few myself then once those girls are old enough giving them some other breeds to hatch. I'm not allowed a roo so I'll have to rely on fertile eggs from other hens to expand my flock.
