I know this has been asked a million times but I am not coming across the answer. I have some 1 week old chicks and I
Am wondering when I can take them outside for playtime? I live in Oklahoma and the weather has been in the high 70s
During the day would they be ok to go out for a while or should I wait a little longer?
I have been spending as much time with them as possible but their brooder is in the garage because we have 2 cats so
they don't get any "in the house" time and I want to spend time with them where they can "just be a chicken"

Thanks

I would take them out if the weather is warm and not too windy. I had mine outside when they were 6 days old. It was in the 80s. My chicks are now 3 weeks old, and spend all day outside. It still needs to be in the 70s. They will love it!

Mine go out on nice days, but once they start feathering in they stay out all day as long as it isnt wet. My 3 week olds are in their coop and have been for a few days, meaties are in a day pen but still need to be inside at night but only for another week.

Well it is pretty windy today so I guess they will stay inside a few days longer, that will give me time to build them a playpen
