I have 7 girls that I received around March 27. They are out growing their
brooder now. All but one have feathered out. I'm worried cause the weather is around 60 with dropping down to the 40's at nite. I also have 5 girls about a year old in the main coop which a small . I'm not sure how they will take to the new ones. I'm also in the process of building a very large coop, but it won't be finished for a couple of weeks. Any suggestions?

I put my birds out in a tractor at 2 weeks but made sure they had a place for warmth.

I would keep them separated until they are nearly the same size. The hen can kill the younger ones. I made sure mine could see each other for months before I put them together. I had two hen that were brutal to the pullets when I first put them together.

My chicks were from the same date. Theyre outside now, and iam in upstate NY. They have a box they live in at night so their heat stays high enough.
