When can I remove heat plate from brooder?

At what age can I take the heat plate/table out of the brooder and start getting my quail chicks used to cooler Temps? I have been raising it higher weekly.

Does the heat plate cover the entire brooder? If it only covers part of the brooder, they are already getting used to cooler temperatures every time they come out to eat and drink.

As baby chickens get older, at some point they start to sleep away from the heat plate instead of under it. When you see them not using the heat plate at all is when to take it out. I assume quail would do the same thing, although I do not know for sure.

I usually started weaning the hear away around 4 weeks
