When can I remove the brooder plate?

I have 6 brooding in my garage. We have a wifi thermometer in there and the temps are high 80s during the day and 70s over night. 2 of my girls are about 1.5 weeks old, the others seem like they are closer to 3 weeks. I wish I had a better idea on age but I got them from 2 different feed stores and it was kind of unclear. They spend most of the day out of the brooding plate other than when they run for cover. The little ones are under there in the morning when the temps are in the 70s.

With the temps being so high already, when should I remove it?

Watch your chicks. If they keep going under the plate they still want the warmth. They might use it for nights only. When you notice that they just use it to sit on, you can remove it.
