When can I start using DE with my baby chicks?

At what age can I sprinkle DE in their food or in their brooder?

I don't add it to food for any of them but I put it in the bedding and on all the surfaces for all birds and I don't see why age would matter.
My chicks only get a high quality, high protein grower until they start free ranging and they get no scratch or scraps till 12 to 15 weeks.

I have food grade DE that I've been putting in our girls food since day one, they don't seem to have any problems with it.

When ya'll sprinkle it in the bedding etc - how much do you "sprinkle". I have food grade de on hand, and Im ready to start using it.
