I have 8 8 week old EE mixes that are still inside due to Canada still being below 0 C consistently at night. The room they're in is at about 14 C and they seem to be doing just fine with it. I'm wondering when it's safe to put them outside... As soon as it isn't below freezing at night anymore? There are 5 fully grown hens out in the coop already (of course we'll integrate them before just sticking them together).

once fully feathered out they can go outside, however, you should slowly acclimate them to the cold. if you have a garage or basement that is cooler than the rest of the house but still warmer than outside I would put them there first for about a week or so. Otherwise, bring them outside for field trips as often as you can for increasing time lengths.
